Day 1: CalgaryWith a population of 1.1 Mio Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta - approximately 80 Km east of the Rocky Mountains. When the Canadian Pacific Railway reached the area in 1883 Calgary began to grow into an important commercial and agricultural center. The cities economy grew again when huge oil reserves were discovered in 1971’s. Today - Calgary is a bustling and vibrant city with a high tech industry, many music festivals and major attractions. Calgary hosted as the first Canadian city the 1988’s Olympic Winter Games. Sights include: Olympic Park, Fort Calgary, the Tower and the Glenbow Museum. One highlight is the annual Calgary Stampede - a popular 10-day event during the month of July with Rodeos, Chuckwagon Races, Country Music Performances and Fireworks. We provide a private limousine transfer upon arrival from the airport to the downtown hotel for our clients. Note: We organize visits to the Stampede including tickets for all events. Overnight: Executive Suite Hotel Calgary (or similar)
Day 2: Calgary - BanffMotorcoach transfer (126 Km) from Calgary to Banff. You’ll stopover in Kananaskis and enjoy a 15-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape and peaks of the Rockies. Visit a local guest ranch for a lunch and spend some time exploring Kananaskis - home of the 1988’s Winter Olympic Games. Continue your journey to Banff: At 1463 meters, Banff is the town with the highest elevation in Canada and a very popular year-around tourism destination. In 1985, the United Nations declared Banff National Park as World Heritage Site. Your local area sightseeing tour includes the following sights: Lake Minnewanka, Bow Falls, the Hoodoos, Upper Hot Springs, Mount Norquay and Sulphur Mountain (Gondola), The Banff National Park area is an outdoor adventure paradise and provides more than 1500 km of hiking/mountain bike trails, canoeing, rafting and horseback riding opportunities. Late afternoon transfer to the hotel. Remaining day at leisure. Overnight: High Country Inn Hotel Banff (or similar)
Day 3: Banff - Lake LouiseEnjoy a half-day tour into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. In 1984 the park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sights include: the Natural Bridge, Emerald Lake, the Spiral Tunnel, Burgess Shale, Takakkaw Falls, Wapta Falls and Kicking Horse River. Yoho represents the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains region, and is also a Cree expression of awe and wonder for this place of rock walls, spectacular waterfalls and soaring peaks. In the shadow of the Great Divide, Yoho holds the secrets of ancient ocean life, the power of ice and water, and unique plant and animal communities that continue to evolve today. Continue to Lake Louise. One hour guided shore and interpretive stroll. The emerald colour of the water comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the magnificent Rocky Mountain national Park location. Overnight: Chateau Lake Louise Hotel
Day 4: Lake Louise - JasperThe itineray today includes a sightseeing tour of the Banff and Jasper National Parks via the famous Icefield Parkway. Stretching for 230 kilometers, the parkway offers easy access to one of the most spectacular mountain landscape on earth. This is a world-class motorcoach journey through the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Among the highlights of the tour are: Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, the magnificient 325 square kilometers large Columbia Icefield and the Athabasca Falls. The Columbia Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. It is also a true "hydrological apex," for its meltwater feeds streams and rivers that pour into the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific Oceans. Here you will ride on the Ice Explorer coaches to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn more about its geological features. You’ll have some time for lunch (not included) before continuing to Jasper. Overnight: Marmot Lodge Jasper (or similar)
Day 5: JasperEstablished in 1813, Jasper was first a Northwest Company and later a Hudson Bay Company fur trading outpost. The current park was established in 1907, with the Canadian Northern Railway beginning service to Jasper in 1912. Jasper is surrounded by four mountain ranges. Today you have a choice between a variety of included sightseeing tour options: (1) Maligne Valley tour including Maligne Canyon and the beautiful Maligne Lake with its enchanted Spirit Island - one of the most popular sights within Jasper National Park. (2) Wildlife Safari - search for Wapitis, Elk, Moose and Mountain Goats (3) Athabasca River Float Trip - perfect for all ages (4) Athabasca Rafting Trip with small sets of rapids and calm stretches. All tours are including a pick up at your hotel. Remaining day at leisure.

Day 6: Jasper - KamloopsTransfer to the railroad station. You are leaving the world-class destination resort of Jasper for an exciting rail tour to Kamloops. Sights include: Continental Divide, Yellowhead Pass, the Monashee & Cariboo Mountain Ranges, Pyramid Falls, Mount Robson - with 3945 meter the highest peak within the Canadian Rockies Mountains - and the North Thompson River area. You’ll be surrounded for most of the journey by a dramatic and breathtaking mountain scenery. Upon arrival in Kamloops, motorcoach transfer from the rail station to a local ***/**** hotel for the overnight. Evening entertainment recommendation: Enjoy the “Maple Leaf” Musical and Dinner Show, an interactive hour-long upbeat journey about a group of Canadian singers. The Songs featured are from Paul Anka, Jori Mitchell, Shania Twain and Gordon Lightfood. Breakfast and lunch are served today onboard the train. Day 7: Kamloops - VancouverKamloops is the gateway to the interior of British Columbia and characterized by hot summers, snow-filled winters, literally thousands of lakes, spectacular landscapes, large cattle ranches and endless blue skies. The rail journey continuos through the scenic Fraser Canyon with it’s “Hells Gate” and along the Thompson River. In the nineteenth century, steamboats plied the waters between Georgia Strait and Yale were the Fraser River emerges at sea level. and were especially busy during the gold rush of the 1850s and 1860s. Boats continued to provide a vital link in the valley as the gold rush tapered off and Europeans began farming. Hells Gate is the narrowest point of the Fraser River. At high water level almost 220 million gallons of water are running with a speed of 30 km through the 33 meter wide gorge. The area is also known for one of the largest sockeye salmon runs in the world. The journey ends at the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver on the Pacific Ocean. End of tour package.
