You get either 15/30/45 days of travel in Coach Class (Economy) or a total of up to 18 travel segments. Just show your Amtrak Pass each time you obtain a ticket for a trip during the valid pass period. Note: a segment defines the time you get on/off the train – regardless of length.

Another great way to explore the West Coast by rail.

Eligible trains are: Capitols, San Joaquin, Pacific Surfliner, most connecting thruway services, Coast Starlight between Los Angeles and Dunsmuir.

The pass is not valid on long-distance trains such as the: Sunset Limited, Soutwest Chief, California Zephyr and the Texas Eagle.
